This position is responsible for managing all facets of inventory along with management of material procurement for the entire locomotive mechanical group; this will extend to other Mobile Repair Units, contract shops and potentially a locomotive repair facility. As a strategic sourcing and functional procurement process (P2P) expert, this position will work closely with the Mobile Repair Units (MRU’s), Contract MRU providers and/or Field Services’ purchasing and materials personnel as well as with IT and Accounts Payable. This person is accountable for meeting KPI’s for all programs and initiatives as assigned by the Director, North American Maintenance Operations.
This role can be remote OR based out of Chicago, IL or La Porte, TX.
