The Fleet Billing Specialist’s role is vital in ensuring that GATX properly executes car release. They act as experts within the Fleet Execution Department and work with the Network Loading Group to identify and ship cars to storage locations.

 

Qualified candidates who are currently Wells Fargo Rail employees will be given priority consideration over other external applicants.

Responsibilities

  • Track railcars being released due to lease expiration, scrap, destroyed, early termination and sold to ensure off lease billing information is entered accurately and timely.
  • Obtain and enter accurate and timely disposition in SEM to ensure proper shipment of railcars from shop to storage.
  • Facilitate billing adjustments for rental abatement, debits and credits.
  • Ensure proper documentation is provided and enter the adjustments accurately into SAP.
  • Monitor and clear edit reports of errors promptly and accurately
  • Assist the new car process by reviewing invoices and purchase orders in SAP and creating the goods receipt.
  • Assist the storage process by auditing invoices, providing disposition, updating and keeping current the storage spreadsheet.
  • Make freight bill dispute entries to US railroad websites
  • Various ad-hoc projects including process improvements, car research and the testing and development of computer systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree desirable.
  • Experience in the rail industry is highly desirable.
  • Minimal travel required.

This is a hybrid position which will require the employee to work in the office at least 3 days a week throughout the year.

Min

USD $59,600.00/Yr.

Max

USD $77,500.00/Yr.

 

This role may be eligible to participate in the Company’s short-term incentive plan, the details of which will be provided to the applicant upon hire.

 

This range is a reasonable estimate and takes into account several factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, geographic location, skill set, experience, education, training, internal equity, and other business needs.
