The Sr. Railcar Product Engineer will be part of a team that delivers product specifications, work instructions, and support to procure, optimize, and maintain a portfolio of railcar products that meet or exceed customer, GATX, and regulatory requirements. This position requires expert-level experience in railcar engineering and a proven ability to lead others to achieve impactful results with minimal supervision.

Execute railcar modification programs for a group of product codes
Support the ongoing development and administration of the GATX maintenance program for a group of railcar products
Ensure Railcar product specifications and standards
Deliver Railcar product support
This position interacts with shops and FMA’s to administer product specific engineering instructions and requirements. This position interacts with FPM’s and ASL’s to develop railcar modification instructions that meet market and customer needs. This position interacts with Quality team to support training, investigate customer rejects, and clarify engineering requirements.
This is a hybrid position that will require the employee to work in the office at least 3 days a week throughout the year.
